Roulette is made up of four elements that are used to play: the table, the roulette wheel, the ball, and the chips.
The Table
This is the part of the roulette that the player bets on. It consists of circles divided into three rows which comprise twelve squares each.
The Roulette Wheel
The wheel is divided into 36 fields numbered from 1 to 36 and a 0 space, or a 0 space and another 00 in the case of American Roulette. Slots 1-36 are colored alternating red and black, and slots 0 and 00 are green.
The Ball
It is placed on the roulette and it determines the number that will be drawn when the roulette stops spinning.
